Clinical Supervision for Counsellors and Psychotherapists

Hi, my name is Dr Donagh Ward, and I'm an IACP-accredited supervisor offering my services online anywhere in Ireland, or in person in Tramore, Co. Waterford.
Dr Donagh Ward, IACP-accredited psychotherapist and CBT practitioner in Tramore, Waterford

Who I supervise

  • Accredited counsellors and psychotherapists who need ongoing supervision
  • Pre-accredited therapists working towards accreditation
  • Students on placement who need an external supervisor (check with your college that I meet their requirements first).

About me and how I work

I've been in clinical practice since 2003 and continue to see clients every week, so supervision with me focuses on the work as it actually happens.

In my own practice, I primarily work from a person-centred and CBT background, but I also supervise therapists from other approaches. I also spent over ten years lecturing at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, so I've spent a lot of time helping people learn this work.

You bring what you need to bring. That might be a client you're stuck with, an ethical question, a risk issue, how the work is affecting you, or where you're going professionally. I'll be supportive, and I'll be straight and honest with you.
Qualifications: Diploma in Counselling Supervision (PCI College), Professional Doctorate in Health (University of Bath), MSc in Psychotherapy Studies (University of Sheffield), BSc in Counselling and Psychotherapy, First Class Honours (Middlesex University). IACP membership number M5735.
